In a surprising crossover event that breaks usual expectations, the game developer has revealed an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Mission Revealed

According to the official statement, "A strange confrontation pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where hints of banned ceremonies and monstrous transformations reverberate through the obscurity." The narrative features a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a hidden sect.

The questline concentrates on "strange trials and a terrifying adversary" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Iconic Places and Changes

The preview showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview concludes with a striking moment showing a character, probably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Items and Additional Features

Players who successfully complete the adventure will receive an unique katana in addition to multiple items hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
